President’s Letter
Andrea Boehme-Hernandez
Andrea Boehme-HernandezPresident & CEO

Andrea Boehme-Hernandez is the CEO and Owner of MEDSTAFF National Medical Staffing. MEDSTAFF began in 1985 as a locum tenens firm in the Southeast and was nationwide by 1989. Andrea joined the company in 1998 with five years of previous work experience in the administrative and accounting staffing sectors. She quickly advanced into a team leadership role and in 2001 she began to lead the organization as Chief Operating Officer overseeing the internal staff and their daily activities. In 2008, Andrea had the unique opportunity to the purchase Medstaff and has since served as Owner and Chief Executive Officer.

Andrea was a party to the formational years of NALTO and has been a very active and attending member since. She has served on the Credentialing Committee 2002 – 2006, Membership Committee 2011 – Present and the Marketing Committee 2004 – Present. Andrea also currently serves on the NALTO Board of Directors.

Andrea is an advocate for high quality credentialing standards and intra-company ethics. She has actively worked to increase NALTO membership, contributed to NALTO articles and publications, and is currently working to expand NALTO branding and recognition throughout the healthcare industry to physicians and clients. As a seasoned member of NALTO and a firm owner, Andrea provides valuable insight from an ownership perspective.

A graduate of the Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a BA in Political Science/ Pre-Law, Andrea often sights her enthusiasm for the Physician Staffing industry. She is thankful to be a part of such a great group of people and very glad she did not follow her plans to be an attorney. Andrea lives in Raleigh-Durham, NC with her husband and active 7 year old daughter.
